My specialization in Deep Tissue Massage and Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage

TRANSCRIPTION OF VIDEO

Good morning everyone. This is Sonia, the Haleiwa Massage Muse at Integrated Massage Last week, Quite a few of you wanted to know what my specialties are, So I thought that would be a great topic for this weeks video post. First and foremost, I will always be a deep tissue therapist. I love deep tissue massage, it feels amazing, and I specifically sought out a school that offered a deep tissue specialization program. That being said, I am not one of those therapists who believe in the old saying, “no pain, no gain” This old way of thinking is simply not the truth. Current research supports the fact that massage therapy should feel good and should always be performed within the patient's comfort level. This being said, deep tissue massage is subjective depending on the person who receives it. One person may need very firm pressure while gently pressure is sufficient for someone else. A good massage therapist is able to adjust their technique accordingly. For those of you who are athletes, surfers, bodybuilders or crossfitters, I also do barefoot massage which allows me to use my full bodyweight while I apply pressure with my feet. Behind me, you can see my ashiatsu overhead bars. In addition to working on people with an active lifestyle, I also specialize in working with chronic pain patients using a holistic approach that includes massage therapy, breathwork, and guided meditation and visualization when applicable. This could be a topic for a different video, as we are out of time for today. Mahalo for tuning in this week, and I’ll see you again soon.

Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know me. I am always happy to answer your questions. Follow me on social media for the latest massage therapy news. See more videos on my vlog page.

Sincerely,
Sonia Beauchamp

Video Blog: Meet the Haleiwa Massage Muse

Aloha everyone,

Here is a brief video introduction for those of you who have never met me before. Watch this video to find out more about our Waialua massage clinic and our mission to make massage accessible to the public. Also, find out about our community wellness program where massage therapy starts at $50.

Transcription of the video:

Week of August 6 2018.

Aloha, my name is Sonia and I own Integrated Massage and Deep TIssue therapy in Waialua

I have been located inside the Ka’ala Healing Arts center since 2005, and have been a massage therapist since 1999.

I wanted to make a brief video to introduce myself and the goals of my massage clinic.
Mainly, I want to make massage therapy accessible to the public. Massage has such an amazing impact on quality of life, and I would like to see more people benefit from it, not just wealthy people who go to high-end spas and specialty clinics, but everyday people of all income levels.

I opened up my clinic in 2005 to get out of the high-end massage market and offer my services based on health, wellness, and pain relief. I have done my best to accept all health insurance plans that cover massage therapy and also take personal injury cases whenever possible. For those of you who don’t have coverage for massage, I have started a community wellness program that offers treatment sessions starting at $50.

I love what I do for a living, and I look forward to answering any questions you might have. Please don't hesitate to give me a call or email at any time. See more videos on my vlog page.
